Any piece of writing is interesting if it is well written. No story is interesting if it is not well-written. My coaching is designed to evoke the details , dialogue insight, hindsight and flights of literary inspiration that, when arranged successfully on a page, make the writing a work of art.

testimonials

My happiest memories amongst a creative, slightly raucous, supportive, occasionally kooky and brilliant community of writers. Jane is quite simply marvelous!
— Amy Palmer writer, bookseller, adventurer
I take a deep bow in the direction of Jane O’Reilly-my own personal Maxwell Perkins in an era where the position of editor in the publishing world has, alas, become redundant. She read my manuscript in several versions, set me straight on plenty of occasions and provided support over many a rough bump. Hire her. She will make your writing better!
— Peggy Daniel, (from "Tanglewood: A Group Memoir", Amadeus Press)
Jane O’Reilly has a gift for correct without intimidaint. She approaches each person as an individual without asking anyone to meet a group standard. Result: they keep coming back for more.
— Joan Ellis, Manchester VT
Jane gave me outstanding, detailed feedback on my writing that pushed me to be a better writer in that piece and far beyond. I highly recommend working with, and learning from, her.
— Justin Pasqueriello
I highly recommend Jane as a teacher. She inspired, cajoled, pushed (shoved sometimes), criticized and praised our efforts, and in the process we all wrote some of the best pieces of writing we’d ever written, or probably will ever write in our lives. We also had a lot of fun.
— Anna Dibble painter, poet, memoirist
Jane O’Reilly’s Writing Workshops are great. BANK ON IT. I id. Two pieces published and a third accepted. Thank Jane.
